Biography Notes

Reign 1825-1855. Coronation 3 Sep 1826 (NS), Moskva. Heir to the throne after Emperor Aleksandr I was the elder brother Konstantin Pavlovich who renounced any rights to the succession in 1822. In the secret manifest of 28 August 1823 Aleksandr I Pavlovich re-adjusted the succession in favor of Nikolai Pavlovich.
